About the Program

 The University of Georgia the Master of Social Work (MSW) online is tailored to meet the unique needs of Georgia residents interested in pursuing a career in social work. Graduates of the program are prepared to meet all educational requirements leading to licensing as a social worker in the state of Georgia.
 

Accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, the MSW online prepares you for an advanced social work career in micro practice. The program is open to people from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds.

Assigned Practicum Education

A major portion of graduate social work education involves field education. The School of Social Work makes field placement assignments within a 60-mile radius of your location, within the state of Georgia. Field experiences that blend coursework with real-world experiences help maximize your growth and competency development. Each student will participate in two placements: one generalist and one concentration-based.
